2011年5月、ロシア・サンクトペテルブルグで行われたNPO法人による日露文化交流の祭典に参加。
2013年4月、ファーストミニアルバム『Decision』発売。
2015年7月、セカンドアルバム『夢の浮橋』発売。
2016年7月、フィリピン・マニラにて行われた Wind&Jazz FestivalにCultural Center Of PhilippinesのPresident RAUL M. SUNICO氏のコーディネートを受けゲストシンガーとして参加。
2017年2月、埼玉県八潮市音楽大使に就任。
Jazz singer and composer, Rui Monma, was born in Hokakaido, Japan. At the age of 5, she started to play classic piano, and that was the start of her life in music. At the age of 20, she started to perform as a vocalist in a bar called Vocal Live in Hokkaido, and at that time, she used to sing rock and R&B rather than jazz. She met with the world of jazz at the age of 22, and became a solo singer to perform concert and live events within Hokkaido.
She moved to Tokyo to perform varieties of jazz music with other performers at the age of 23.
Currently, she is performing mainly in Tokyo through live concerts, chorus support, and hotels. She presents her originality through her concerts, and she is gaining her popularity from the audience and from the other performers. In addition, she is a vocal instructor to expand her career as a jazz musician.
Her previous main activities:
- July 2015, released her second album, “Yume-no-Ukihashi” (means floating bridge of dreams)
- April 2013, released her first mini album, “Decision”
- May 2011, performed in Festival of Cultural Exchange Event in Russia
